Gonçalo Sommer Ribeiro

Gonçalo is an Investment Director at Fortitude Capital with 17 years of investment experience. Gonçalo started his path in the Hedge Funds industry, focusing on macro investing and quant strategies, mostly equity related. Following that he co-founded and managed a financial consultancy firm where he helped businesses to turnaround and in M&A deals. Before joining Fortitude, Gonçalo was heading the structured products desk at Banco BPI. Simultaneously he has been lecturing for more than a decade at Nova SBE University several courses in the MSc of Finance, one of which he manages a real-money fund investing in US bonds and equities.

He holds an MSc in Investment Analysis from Tilburg University and a degree in Economics from Nova SBE. He is a CFA charterholder and holds a CESGA certificate.
